Khaloom is a social startup driving innovation the existing textile recycling industry in India by producing high quality upcycled fabrics on handlooms with recycled yarns. In producing this product, Khaloom provides formal employment to local underprivileged women. The company pays its weavers fair wages which are up to 3 times the average for the Indian handloom industry. Provides brands around the world with the opportunity to change waste into a resource, Khaloom is challenging norms in the textile industry and facilitating a hopeful future for workers in their production chain.
